The adjustability is a gimic in my opinion for a shock that is not correctly tailored for the vehicle. I would be going that Koni based kit that was linked, way before I wasted my money on Tough Dogs. I have had Ranchos in the past and will say they were crap and I'm not convinced the Tough Dogs are anything but rebadged Ranchos. Done 99,000 now and I feel every little bump in the road back thru the steering wheel, need to change it soon, cheers I will sit on the quote for a few more days and a bit more research but im getting to the point where i have to settle on something, we going to gawler ranges (west of Pt Augusta) in Sept then west coast.

for your reply, mine is a 2010 PB, should be the same. Is yours a PB challenger? Not sure if PB-PC are the same?

You may need to vary your Tyre pressures as they are still quite hard ride. Personally i wish i went with the billies or something that was tried and tested within this forum but that's life, having said that they are fantastic of road and are very comfortable.

Tough dog cant work it out but they have been awesome to deal with at blacktown. I had foam cell shocks in the front of my pajero they have been replaced once with adjustable (no cost), then they were replaced once awell as they were knocking like mad. I have medium all round, carry draws, fridge etc in the back, tow camper. No bilsteins available for the rear apparently. Has anyone have opinions or experiences, personally or otherwise regarding this brand and at the price? Bilsteins for the front would be $280 ea, t/dogs are $200 ea. The front is standard, no bar (had intended to get one sometime ago but bought a boat instead, now sold that and looking at a bar!) I was also assured the front kit will handle a bar if I decide later to install one. Only the drawers will remain around town. This quote was based on a max rear load weight of up 200kg (only have drawers, 2 spares & a jerry) and was assured there would be no drive line vibration with this kit when the truck is empty. I have read about the little adjusting knobs falling off, others say they never had any problems. For an additional $280 all the shocks can be adjustable. I am leaning towards a quote I was provided for a "tough dog 25-30mm lift, 41mm foam cell shocks, comfort/medium springs all round" $1200 supplied & fitted. I am very grateful for those here that shared their knowledge and experiences and at some cost to find what suits them. I have read all the suspension posts on this site and many others compared brands, types, weights etc etc, what a mine field! Thanks OJ for your pointers too.
